Teaching Farsi-Dari literature during secondary education is of great importance. Firstly, Farsi-Dari language, as Afghanistan’s mother tongue and official language, is highly valuable for students. Teaching Farsi-Dari literature helps students better understand their cultural and national identity and benefit from the linguistic and cultural diversity of their country. Familiarity with Farsi-Dari literature also helps students strengthen their reading, writing, and comprehension skills and understand philosophical, social, and historical concepts through literary works.
Secondly, teaching Farsi-Dari literature is essential, especially for preserving and strengthening the mother tongue in students. This is highly important as the mother tongue plays a fundamental role in individuals’ culture and identity. Teaching Farsi-Dari literature helps students establish stronger connections with their homes and families and enhance their cultural and social values and concepts through literature.
Anar Academy’s online school considers various assessment methods for this subject. For example, assessment includes literary text analysis, essay writing, presentations, written and oral exams, and sometimes research projects. These methods allow students to gain a deeper understanding of literary texts, improve their reading and writing skills, and enhance their communication and analytical abilities. Additionally, Anar Academy believes that student assessment should be fair, just, and conducive to allowing students to demonstrate their talents and skills appropriately and improve them during the educational process.
